I have a very fancy and swanky rooftop party to attend on Friday, it will probably be around 75 degrees at night and the dress code is business formal-ish. I’m a bit fat and I follow the strict never remove your jacket rule. What the fuck do I wear?

A- Blue Wool Suit.

B-Boring Black Suit.

C- Green Velvet Blazer, black pants.

D- Nekkid.

Shoes will either be glossy Ferragamos or dark blue Oxfords.

I’d go with Navy if you have it. White shirt underneath freshly cleaned and ironed (I hope that goes without saying but you never know.) Throw in a neatly folded white linen pocket square and you have a simple but powerful look.

If that is the actual color of your suit in A, IMO that’s a bit to bold for something business professional. However, my definition of business professional is the finance/old school one.

It is, A might be just a little brighter than my actual suit and it isn’t really business, just a rooftop cocktail party thing, I’m sure people will show up with flashier outfits.
